Children's Worship:

1/12 Lesson Passage and Discussion Questions

Ezekiel 37

  • What is the Bible?

God’s Word

  • What do the Lego bricks teach us about the stories of the Bible.

They show us that each story teaches us things about God on their own, but the main idea is that they all work together to point us to Jesus.

  • What are prophets?

They are people who tell others God’s words.

  • What do prophets and stop signs have in common?

They both tell us to stop! Prophets tell us to STOP sinning and START trusting Jesus.

  • What do the dry bones teach us?

The dry bones were a picture God used to show that disobeying him leads to death. When God made the bones come back to life He showed that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection we have the opportunity to be forgiven of our sin.

  • What is sin?

Sin is disobeying God. For example, worshipping other gods or being unkind to others (not sharing with our siblings).

  • What does repent mean

Repent means to turn away from sin (stop) and turn to Jesus (start) to be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God starting now and lasting for all eternity.

  • How are we saved from our sin?

We are not saved by what we do. We are saved by Jesus. He lived perfectly, died in our place, and came back to life so that we could be forgiven because he loves us. We are saved by grace through trusting in Jesus. Share the Gospel.

  • What does “trust in Jesus” mean?

It means that we tell him (confess) that we are sinful and need him to forgive us. 1 John 1:9 says that when we ask Jesus to forgive us he does. We look to him to make our relationship with him right again (see above) because of his life, death, and resurrection. He took the death we deserve and gave us his life. Trusting in Jesus is something we do every day not just one time.
